BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit
 

What is BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit?

BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit is a free service that lets you link your BUYandHOLD account to your personal checking or savings account. You can make timely deposits directly into your BUYandHOLD account, without having to write a check each time. You can also use this service to conveniently pay your monthly pricing plan fees.

Please be advised, that in order to protect your funds and bank information from fraudulent use, you will be required to verify your bank account before Instant Deposit is activated. As a result we will be making two small deposits, which will be followed by one withdrawal, in the amount of the two deposits, into and out of your bank account.

In order to activate your Instant Deposit, you will be required to log into your bank account to obtain the amount of the two deposits, which you will then use as your verification code at buyandhold.com. If you do not have online access, you may have to call your financial institution's customer service department for further assistance or wait for your monthly statement. Upon successfully entering the verification code your Instant Deposit will be activated and ready for use.

 Can I link to a savings account or credit union?

In some cases you can link to a savings account or credit union. BUYandHOLD suggests that you contact your bank about any account limitation.

How do I setup the Instant deposit for my account?

To setup your Instant Deposit, simply do the following:

  1. Login to your account at: http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "BUYANDHOLD INSTANT DEPOSIT" located on the upper right of the page.
  3. Click "ADD NEW BUYANDHOLD INSTANT DEPOSIT."
  4. Fill out the information and click "I AGREE."

To verify your Bank Account,  simply:

  1. Login to your Bank Account to obtain the two deposit amounts from Freedom Investments. May take two business days for your bank to display.
  2. Login to your account at http://www.buyandhold.com
  3. Click "BUYANDHOLD INSTANT DEPOSIT" located on the upper right of the page.
  4. Click on “Verify”
  5. Enter the two deposit amount in any order and click “continue.”

How do I use my Instant Deposit to pay the monthly fee?

In order to change the payment method for your monthly fee, simply do the following:

  1. Log into your account at: http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "VIEW."
  3. Click "PRICING PLAN PREFERENCES," under Account Features.
  4. Select a verified bank account.
  5. Click "CONTINUE" to save your changes.

How do I update my instant deposit?

To update your Instant Deposit, simply do the following:

  1. Login to your account at: http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "BUYANDHOLD INSTANT DEPOSIT" located on the upper right of the page.
  3. Click "EDIT."
  4. Make necessary changes and click "SAVE CHANGES."

Please be advised that if you enter a new bank account or edit the existing bank account number or routing number you will be required to verify the new and/or edited bank account.

You should also know that bank transactions are processed at 4:00 pm EST, the end of each business day. As a result, all bank related activities will be processed through the bank account that is linked at the end of the business day.

Please Note: When making updates to your Instant Deposit information you will need to re-establish your payment method for the monthly fee.

How do I delete my instant deposit?

To delete your Instant Deposit, simply do the following:

  1. Login to your account at: http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "BUYANDHOLD INSTANT DEPOSIT" located on the upper right of the page.
  3. Click "DELETE."
  4. Click "CONTINUE."

How do I make a deposit into my BUYandHOLD account using the instant deposit?

In order to make deposits via BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit, simply do the following:

  1. Login to your account at http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "VIEW."
  3. Click "FUNDING OPTIONS," under Account Features.
  4. Select BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit.
  5. Choose whether you want the deposit to be One-time or Recurring.
  6. If One-Time, type in the amount you wish to deposit, and click "CONTINUE."
  7. If Recurring, type in the amount you wish to deposit, click "CONTINUE," choose the day of the month, and click "CONTINUE."

The funds would then be reflected in your account, as available funds, within two business days.

Please be advised that bank transactions are processed at 4:00 pm EST, the end of each business day. As a result, all bank related activities will be processed through the bank account that is linked at the end of the business day.

How do I change or cancel the recurring deposit schedule?

To change or cancel the recurring deposit schedule, simply do the following:

  1. Login to your account at: http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "VIEW."
  3. Click "FUNDING OPTIONS," under Account Features.
  4. You will see the following: "Our records indicate that you currently have an existing deposit schedule. Please click here to view/modify that schedule."
  5. Click the "CLICK HERE" link.
  6. Make your selection and click "CONTINUE."

To purchase a stock using BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit, simply do the following:

  1. Login to your account at: http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "VIEW."
  3. Click "WINDOW TRADES," under Trade.
  4. Click "WINDOW-TRADE BUY," and enter the symbol of the company you wish to purchase.
  5. Click "CONTINUE SHOPPING" if you wish to search for more companies, or click "ADD TO CART."
  6. Once you have completed your shopping, click "PROCEED TO CHECKOUT."
  7. Enter the dollar amount worth of the stocks you wish to purchase, and select 'BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit' as the payment method.
  8. Click "CONTINUE."
  9. Review your order and click "PLACE ORDER."

To buy stocks Real-Time using the BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit, simply do the following:

  1. Login to your account at: http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "VIEW."
  3. Click "REAL-TIME TRADES," under Trade.
  4. Click "REAL-TIME BUY."
  5. Enter the symbol of the company, the dollar amount worth of the stocks you wish to purchase, and select 'BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit' as your payment method
  6. Review your order and click "SUBMIT ORDER."

Please be advised that bank transactions are processed at 4:00 pm EST, the end of each business day. As a result, all bank related activities will be processed through the bank account that is linked at the end of the business day.

Where do I find the authorization form?

To print out the BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit Authorization Form, simply do the following:

  1. Login to your account at: http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "VIEW."
  3. Click "PRINT," found on the right side, under the 'Click to Print Instant Deposit' column. Print, sign, and mail this form to:

Is there an Instant Deposit limit?

The limit to an Instant Deposit order is $5,000 per day. You will need to make three $5,000 successful transactions before we are able to increase this limit. Please e-mail service@buyandhold.com if you would like us to review your account for an increase in daily limit.

What if I bounce a deposit?

If your deposit transaction bounces, your account will be restricted for 30 days from using BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit, and a $25 fee will be assessed. Please Note: If you fail to communicate with us, BUYandHOLD may attempt to resubmit the ACH transaction in an attempt to collect the funds due for the purchase. You can request by e-mail for us to re-submit the transaction via BUYandHOLD Instant Deposit. Should you decide to do so, please include the exact amount to be re-submitted, and note you will also need to deposit checks prior to making any purchases during those 30 days.

Can I add a second instant deposit to my BUYandHOLD account?

Yes, you can add a second instant deposit to your BUYandHOLD account, however, only one bank can be used per day.

Please allow 24-48 hour for instant deposit changes to be completed.

How do I make check deposits?

The simplest way to make deposits via check is to include your BUYandHOLD account number in the memo area of your check and send it to:

  2. Click "VIEW."
  3. Click "FUNDING OPTIONS," under Account Features.
  4. Select Check, and click "CONTINUE."
Print and complete the deposit slip.

How long until my check posts?

Please allow seven to ten business days for postal delivery of your check.

Please Note: checks $5000 or greater require a waiting period of five business days, while checks under $5000 are credited to your account upon receipt.

Is there a minimum deposit amount?

There is no minimum deposit amount. Please note that the minimum purchase amount is $20.

Do you accept money orders?

We do not accept any money orders.

Do you accept third-party checks?

Third-party checks are accepted for deposit. Please remember to endorse the back of the check with your signature and include the BUYandHOLD account number in the memo area of the check.

Do you offer check writing privileges?

BUYandHOLD does not currently offer check writing privileges or ATM access.

What if I bounce a check?

There is a $25 bounce fee for returned checks.

Payroll Direct Deposit
 

How do I setup payroll deduction for my account?

To make a payroll deduction into your BUYandHOLD account, simply do the following:

  1. Login to your account at: http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "VIEW."
  3. Click "FUNDING OPTIONS," under Account Features,
  4. Select Direct Deposit Authorization Form, then click "CONTINUE."
  5. Print, complete, sign, and send the form via regular mail.

How do I stop my payroll deductions?

You will need to contact your Company Benefits department to request cancelation of your payroll deductions.

Can I setup payroll deduction for all types of BUYandHOLD accounts?

You can setup payroll deduction for all non-IRA accounts.

Can I use a credit card to purchase stock?

Your credit card cannot be used to purchase stock.Only the brokerage account monthly fees or IRA annual fees can be applied to a credit card.

How do I setup a credit card?

  1. Log into your account at: http://www.buyandhold.com
  2. Click "VIEW."
  3. Click "CREDIT CARD MANAGEMENT," in the upper right of screen.
  4. Click "ADD NEW CREDIT CARD."
  5. Input your new credit card information, and click "SAVE CHANGES."

How do I use my credit card to pay the monthly fee?

  2. Click "VIEW."

  4. Select the desired Payment Method.
  5. Click "CONTINUE."

  7. Click "CONTINUE" to save your changes.

  2. Click "VIEW."
  3. Click "CREDIT CARD MANAGEMENT," in the upper right of screen.
  4. Click "EDIT."
  5. Input your new credit card information, and click "SAVE CHANGES."
