Crain's New York Business is out with its annual look at New York City and its demographics, so, New York being the financial capital of the world (at least to a lot of people), I thought I'd list a few.

--The population of the Big Apple is 8,214,000. [47% female]

--34.5% are white, 27.9% Hispanic/Latino, 23.8% Black/African-American, 11.5% Asian
